Do you remember the movie TWISTER? How did they survive the huge tornado at the end of the movie? They attached themselves to something solid and sure. Something that would not move or fail. There are many different storms that we face in life. The question is. What can you hold onto through these times of difficulty?
In Isaiah 28:14-16 God says that he has laid a stone in Zion. He describes it as a “Tested Stone”, a “Precious (costly) Cornerstone, a Sure Foundation. He tells us that whoever believes (the stone) will never be shaken (caused to panic). Seems like it is so easy to panic in this life. What is this stone that we can hold on to? (Jesus Christ)
- He Was Tested
- He Was God’s Precious Son given to us at Great Cost(His Life)
- He is the sure foundation of our faith who will not fail us ever!
In Acts 4:11 the apostle Peter speaks to a Jewish crowd and says this; “This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the Cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”
The question you need to ask yourself is. ..what am I holding onto? In Isaiah it says there are those who scoff at God; they trust in lies and take shelter in the wrong things, or there are those who believe the Cornerstone. Which are You? Will you survive the storm?
